Blue Exorcist ~ Rin x Yukio (Request)

(Please forgive me!!! I don't really ship this pairing as much as the fans who wanted this story did so I put my own little twist on it to make it not as sexual...I still hope I did a good job on it so leave a comment saying if you liked it or not! ^^ )

    Sweat dripped down Rin's nose from his beaded up forehead, also gathering in the small of his back from his neck. He stood alone in the hallway outside of his room, his stance protective and teeth grit as he glared into the darkness around him. He clutched his sword that was still sheathed, muscles obviously tense running down his arms and back. A deep growl settled itself in his throat, his eyes vigorously searching the darkness.

    Is that all? Drag me out of bed for a couple of sub-par demons?!

    He let out a deep sigh, letting his guard down and closing his eyes. Suddenly, almost too fast, another demon jumped onto his back. A small stub of an enemy, all green and derpy like one of Amimon's pets. Rin stumbled, his eyes shooting open as he struggled a bit.

    "Gah! Get the hell off!!!" he yelled, backing up against the dorm's window. The demon grabbed onto Rin's hair, refusing to let go as it let out grunts and crackles from being hit against the window. "WHY. WON'T. YOU. GET. OFF. OF. ME?!" Rin cursed under his breath, leaning back harshly to slam the monster up against the window. The monster wavered a bit, but didn't let go, even as the window cracked a bit under the force that was being put on it. With one last hard slam he crushed the ghoul against the window, "GET OFF ALREADY!!"

    As if by Rin's command, the monster disappeared. What the.........? He looked over his shoulder at where the demon had been, which was now nothing more than air. He stared at the spot for a minute, hesitantly waving his hand in the space to make sure it was gone.

    "Phew.....heh heh...I don't know what just happened, but at least that thing's gone." he laughed awkwardly, scratching the back of his head. "Guess I'd better get back to bed...........wait what?"

    He stopped, his hand halfway to the doorknob of his bedroom when he felt the small space he was in give a rumble. Suddenly, the paint that had been on the door in front of him started peeling off, revealing nothing but blank white in its place. He blinked, skeptical of what his own eyes laid out before him. "Wait, what?!" he looked all around himself as the walls and windows all peeled off, floating towards the ceiling which was, as you may have guessed, also dissipating into white. A loud alarm sounded, like the ringing that sounded the end of a long work day, and everything was gone, now a blank white.

    "God, Rin, can't you even do one stupid drill right?!" a voice echoed through the white around him as it slowly dimmed to a pale grey, giving off the impression that Rin was just in a small box, no bigger than his bedroom. He jumped a bit when the wall opened to his left, revealing a door and Yukio stepped in. "I mean honestly, if you can't even handle something as simple as a minor class demon then you don't stand a chance in the real action." He straightened his glasses, stepping back out of the room. "Come on.."

    Rin blinked, following, "hey, what's the big idea with all of this?! Care to tell me what the hell all of that was?!"

    "It's a new program that Mephisto had installed last week. A new training program for exorcists so to speak. It puts whomever steps inside of the box into a real-world experience and stimulates the trainee's senses to match the situation. The machine, as well as you, needed a test run so I figured it would be the best training in your interest to catch you off guard. If you could handle that then not much could stand in your way, but....it seems you may be needing more training time in after that performance." Rin huffed, glaring at his brother.

    "Hey, I can take pretty good care of myself! If you'd waited a minute I would have beaten that little green monster's ass." he smirked.

    Yukio smiled to himself, re-positioning his glasses once again, "that's the thing Rin. In the field, you have to be prepared to move at any moment. You won't have a minute to waist on battle strategies so you must be alert and ready. I promised dad that I would take care of you, but there's only so much I can do," he turned to Rin, his smile growing some, "so I have to train you to fight when I'm not able to be there."

    Rin waved his hand, smirking, "Ah what's that old man know? I can take anything you throw at me." he started walking away, a smug smile on his face as he positioned his hands on the back of his head comfortably. Yukio turned back to the controls of the machine, smiling as Rin tripped over a bench and landed in a few boxes, muttering swears under his breath.

    As I promised Dad..............I'll always be there for him.
